The focus of this position will be to own the creation and execution of a content marketing strategy that achieves measurable results, drives leads down the marketing funnel and builds our brand globally.  The Content Marketing Strategist will enjoy broad exposure and impact throughout the organization.  A strong understanding of, and background in, marketing fundamentals is required.  This position will report to the Director of Marketing. This is a full-time position.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the company’s short and long-term strategy for content marketing across our marketing channels, including blog, thought leadership, inbound content offers and social media
  • Drive end-to-end development process for new marketing materials, from idea generation and writing through to distribution and tracking
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments and internal thought leaders to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience
  • Write and optimize dynamic, persuasive and action-oriented copy for the website, landing pages, social platforms, emails and video scripts
  • Own development and execution of content editorial calendar and ensure key stakeholders are on board
  • Design method of tracking and analysis to determine which content is working and why. Measure, analyze, and optimize performance across channels, including SEO. Regularly report out to team
  • Own development and execution of social media strategies
  • Develop standards, systems, and best practices for content ideation, creation, and distribution
  • Manage a content review process that ensures all content is on-brand, error-free, consistent in style, and optimized for both search and user experience across all channels including print, online, and email
  • Identify and manage opportunities for PR and co-marketing (guest blogging) 

Required Skills:

  • Exceptionally sharp writing and editing skills. Ability to turn ideas into compelling stories
  • Strong editorial mindset with a focus on creating content that resonates with key audience groups
  • Thorough understanding of the psychology around conversion and direct response copywriting
  • Ability to review analytics reports to identify what’s working and what’s not. This includes approaching analytics reports with a curious mind that leads to tweaking copy and visuals to optimize content efforts. Experience with A/B tests is a plus
  • In-depth experience with SEO, from implementation of on-page SEO best practices to creating content around highly-trafficked SEO terms
  • Experience with social media platforms, including mastery of standard methodologies for social posting for different platforms
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Inbound marketing knowledge and experience, HubSpot certification preferred
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • A passion for marketing and the desire to work in a rapidly growing organization
  • Desire to learn quickly and have a “can do” attitude with a growth mindset
  • Experience in change management a plus. A passion to learn is a must

Essential Experience:

  • BA/BS in business, communication, marketing, journalism or relevant field
  • Proven B2B content marketing experience (minimum 5+ years)
  • Strong business acumen
