Release Comms: New Portal Login Experience (January 2023)

On January 27th, we are updating the Portal login experience for all users to make it easier and more secure.

If you are having trouble logging in through the new Login flow, please try going through the Reset Password flow. If that still does not work, feel free to reach out to support@prosci.com.

At Prosci, we are committed to keeping any and all data we collect from clients safe and secure. This involves continuously making investments in our systems to enhance that level of security. That is why we are updating our login process to use Auth0 from Okta. Auth0 is a single sign-on system that keeps applications like the Prosci Portal extremely secure. We are rolling it out to all customers on January 27th.

As part of this update, we expect the Prosci Portal to be down for about 2 hours on Friday, January 27th from 6:00am to 8:00am MST.

What do you need to do now? Nothing at all!

Once we launch the new system, your account credentials will remain the same - same email and password combination you have always used to login, and the same URLs you have always used to access the Portal and digital products. Simply by going to portal.prosci.com, you will always be directed to the correct page to login.

That said however, our Portal login screen will look different. Below you will find a Yesterday-Tomorrow comparison of the old and new screens.

This update will also include fixing one of the top user experience issues we have had over the past 2 years.

One issue customers had when trying to access certain parts of the Prosci Portal, was that if they clicked on a link for a specific page in the Portal, and they were not logged in, it would send them back to the login page, and forget the link they were trying to access. They would then have to click through the Account page to get to the My Prosci Portal page, and re-click on the link to open the content they wanted to access again.

We are happy to say this will no longer be the case.

Going forward, as an example, if you click on a link to a bit of research in Research Hub and you are not logged in, you will simply be asked for your credentials. Once you successfully enter your email and password, you will land directly on that research. Same thing goes for accessing a specific PCT Assessment in Proxima. This will link sharing in the Portal much easier.

Some other minor changes associated with this launch include

  1. A more secure pattern for updating your email address. Please Note: Going forward if you are added to the Prosci Portal by your organization you will no longer be able to change your email address.
  2. New email templates for completing your account setup, resetting your password, etc.
  3. New controls for customers using SSO.

With this update, we will be able to offer Enterprise SSO to our OCC and ECM License Holders. If you have a license, and would like to learn more about getting set up with SSO, please contact your Prosci Account Manager for more information.

As always, we are striving to make the Prosci Portal your one-stop-shop for content and tools that help you drive change success. This includes continuing to invest in security and user experience enhancements like this one launching on January 27th.

If you have any questions or concerns at all, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
