How do I create a new project?

  1. Click on the [Start New] button from the Proxima landing page. This will start the Project Setup Flow.
  2. Step 1 - Create New Project
    1. Fill out the basic details of the project and click [Create Project and Continue].
    2. This is the only step required. After completing Step 1, you can click Exit at anytime and jump directly into your project
  3. Step 2 - Key Project Milestone Dates & PCT Assessments
    1. The dates you enter here can be "expected" dates. You can always update these in the Roadmap section of your project at any point.
    2. As you enter dates, we suggest scheduling a PCT Assessment to coincide with each of these dates. This optional, and the box can be unchecked, but this suggestion is in line with best practices.
    3. At any point you can click the [X] to jump directly into the project or click [Skip Step] to go to Step 3.
    4. Click [Continue] to save the updates and head to the next Step in the flow
  4. Step 3 - Import Impacted Groups
    1. This feature allows you to Import Impacted Groups from another Proxima project. If you have no other projects in Proxima, this step will be automatically skipped.
    2. Click on the Project dropdown and select the Project that has the Impacted Groups you want to import.
    3. Click the Checkbox on all of the Impacted Groups that you want to Import.
    4. The only data that is imported is the Impacted Group Name and the Number of People in the Group.
    5. This does not "link" the Impacted Groups. Think of this like a copy and paste. Once the Impacted Groups are imported, it simply creates new Impacted Groups in the new project with the same data. Any updates you make on these will not flow back to the original project you imported from.
  5. Step 4 - Import Roles
    1. This feature allows you to Import Roles from another Proxima project. If you have no other projects in Proxima, this step will be automatically skipped.
    2. Click on the Project dropdown and select the Project that has the Roles you want to import.
    3. Click the Checkbox on all of the Roles that you want to Import.
    4. The only data that is imported for each Role is the Role Name/Type, Intials/Name, and Role Definition.
    5. This does not "link" the Role. Think of this like a copy and paste. Once the Role is imported, it simply creates new Role in the new project with the same data. Any updates you make on these will not flow back to the original project you imported from.
  6. Step 5 - Where would you like to start?
    1. Once you have completed the setup, click on where you would like to get started or click View Project to be directed to the Project Dashboard.

How are projects sorted on the Proxima landing page?

On the Proxima landing page, all Projects are shown in the order in which they are created. The last tile is the most recently created project.

How do teams use the Project Setup flow to create more consistency across projects ?

  1. In order to create more consistency across projects and to have standard naming conventions, we suggest teams create a single project titled "Template Project" or something similar.
  2. In this project, create all of your Impacted Groups or Roles that you might use across change initiatives.
  3. Share this project with other team members as collaborators.
  4. Now, when any team member starts a new Project, they will be able to Import the Impacted Groups or Roles that they need.

How do I edit project details (name, type, etc.)?

  1. To edit a projects details, click on the project tile from the landing page or use the side-navigation pane.
  2. Once in the project, click on [Project Settings] which is at the very bottom of the side-navigation pane.
  3. In the Details section of [Project Settings] you can edit the name, type, PM approach and status of your project.

How can I delete a project?

  1. In order to delete a project, you must be the Project Owner.
  2. Click on [Project Settings] in the side-navigation pane.
  3. Under [Details], scroll down on the page to a section called [Danger Zone]. From here you can delete the project.

Note: Only Project Owners can delete a project. Additionally, if an owner has added any collaborators to the project, deleting the project will delete it from all collaborators in Proxima. If you do not want to delete the project for everyone, you may considering [Leaving the project] instead.
