How much does the Change Management Certification Program cost?

Pricing varies by region and delivery format (virtual or in-person). Visit the Training Schedule to see current pricing for your region.

Do you offer payment plans, or is the full fee due at registration?

We do not currently offer payment plans - we require full payment 5 business days prior to the start of the program (or sooner if spots fill), and spots are not held until full payment is received.

We can support with splitting payment into 2 transactions, if needed. Email [email protected] if you need assistance.

Can I pay by invoice or purchase order instead of credit card?

We accept credit cards, checks, and ACH/wire transfers. Purchase orders are not accepted for public programs.

To pay by check or ACH/wire, select the offline payment option at checkout. This generates a pending invoice you can submit for payment. Full payment is still required five business days before the program start date. Your spot is not held until payment is received.

Do you offer discounts for government employees, nonprofits, or unemployed professionals?

We do not currently have these discounts available, however we do have another discounted option you may be interested in

One way to take our programs at a lower cost to you is through ACMP membership. For virtual programs beginning in 2026, members receive 15% off all our virtual programs (excluding TTT 1 & TTT 2, does not include in-person Certification). Is there a group discount for multiple people registering together?

Yes. When two or more people register for the same program and dates, each person after the first receives a discount off the standard registration fee.

If registering at the same time, the discount is applied automatically at checkout.

If registering separately, the first person should contact [email protected] after registering to receive a discount code for their teammates.

Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions.

What is your refund or cancellation policy if I can no longer attend?

Cancellation or transfer requests received more than 30 days prior to the start date are fully refundable or transferable to another session date. Cancellation or transfer requests received within 30 days of the start date are non-refundable and will incur an additional fee to change program dates of 25% of total program cost when requested 15-30 days prior or 50% of total program cost when 0-14 days prior.

All cancellation or transfer requests must be received via email to: [email protected] for US registrations. Unused funds will expire 1 year from the original payment date.

Where and when are upcoming certification sessions offered?

Prosci offers certification programs virtually and in-person across multiple regions. We typically publish sessions three months in advance.

Is there a virtual instructor-led option for the certification?

Yes. The Prosci Change Management Certification Program is available in both virtual and in-person formats. Both deliver the same curriculum, tools, and certification outcome.

Virtual programs run on Zoom and are offered nearly every week of the year. Visit the Training Schedule to view upcoming dates and locations. New sessions are added monthly.

Do you offer weekend sessions or a schedule that doesn't require three consecutive weekdays?

No, we currently do not due to operational capacity considerations.

What are the daily start and end times for each day of the program?

Start and end times vary by format and region. Each session page on the Training Schedule lists the specific hours for that program.

For virtual programs in the US and Canada, typical times are:

Regular Start: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Early Start: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Late Start: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Weekend, Flexible & Specialized Focus: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time

Is there a self-paced or on-demand option for the certification?

No. The Prosci Change Management Certification Program requires live attendance, either virtual or in-person. There is no self-paced or on-demand certification option.

If scheduling flexibility is a concern, programs are offered in multiple formats and nearly every week of the year. Visit the Training Schedule to find a session that works for you.

How do I get on a waitlist for a session that is full or no longer listed?

If a session shows as full: Click the "Join Waitlist" button on that program's page on the Training Schedule. You'll be prompted to email your local registration team to request a spot.

If a session is no longer listed: Registration is closed and the waitlist is no longer active for that session. Visit the Training Schedule to find the next available session.

Are there any prerequisites or experience requirements to enroll?

No. There are no prerequisites or prior change management experience required to enroll in the Prosci Change Management Certification Program. The program is designed for professionals at all levels of experience to formalize their skills.

Do I need an active change project to participate in the certification?

No. While the program uses an applied learning approach, meaning you'll work on a real project during the three days, you don't need a current project to enroll.

You can bring:

A current project
A past project you're familiar with
A project in which you were an impacted employee
A hypothetical project if needed

Can I get certified as an individual, or is the program only for companies?

Anyone can enroll as an individual. You do not need to be employed to earn or maintain it.

Your certification stays with you regardless of where you work.

Is there an exam at the end, and what does the certificate or badge say?

There is no final exam. Certification is based on three criteria:

Attendance: No more than 90 minutes missed across the full program
Knowledge checks: Two short multiple-choice assessments at the end of Days 1 and 2 (open book)
Presentation: A PowerPoint presentation delivered to a small group on Day 3, demonstrating your understanding of Prosci tools and methodology

Upon successful completion, you earn the Prosci Certified Change Practitioner credential. You'll receive a digital badge through Credly that can be shared on LinkedIn, in email signatures, and on your resume.

How long is the Prosci certification valid, and is there a recertification requirement?

The Prosci Certified Change Practitioner credential does not expire, and there is no mandatory recertification requirement.

Prosci keeps practitioners current through subscription access to the tools used in the program, additional guidance, resources, research and a global peer community to support you as you put what you've learned into practice. Staying engaged with these resources is the recommended way to keep your skills and knowledge up to date.

Is the Prosci certification recognized by ACMP, PMI, or other professional bodies?

Yes. The Prosci Change Management Certification Program is accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI) for 19.5 PDUs. A claim code is provided on Day 3 of the program.

The program also qualifies for 23 hours of ACMP continuing education credits.

What is the difference between the standard certification and the AI Adoption or Digital Transformation focus sessions?

All certification programs deliver the full Prosci Methodology, including the ADKAR® Model and the Prosci 3-Phase Process. The credential earned is the same. All programs lead to the same credential: the Prosci Certified Change Practitioner.

Specialized sessions differ in two ways:

Focused case studies relevant to that domain (AI Adoption, Digital Transformation, or Healthcare)
Instructors with domain-specific experience

Participants in specialized sessions also tend to be working on related projects, which enriches peer discussion.

Are the certification courses available in languages other than English?

Yes. Prosci offers programs directly in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German. Additional languages may be available through Prosci's global partner network.

What tools and resources do I get access to after completing the certification?

When you complete the Prosci Change Management Certification Program, you receive a 90-day Prosci Membership trial, including access to the digital tools, resources, research, and global community introduced throughout the program to support continued application.

Your trial includes:

Best Practices in Change Management research — insights from thousands of change leaders worldwide

Does Proxima replace the old eToolkit, and what does it offer that the toolkit didn't?

Yes, Proxima replaced the eToolkit, which was retired in April 2025.

Proxima is included in Prosci Membership (Essentials and Premier plans). Membership also gives you access to Prosci's research studies, 125+ ADKAR activities, application guides, Kaiya™ AI assistance, eLearning modules, and a global community of change professionals — everything you need to apply change management confidently across your work. How do I recover access to my account if it is linked to a former employer's email?

You can update your email address directly in the Prosci Portal:

1. Log in to portal.prosci.com using your old email address
2. Go to My Account > Edit Profile, scroll down to Email, and click Change
3. Enter your new email address and current password, then click Submit
4. Check your new email inbox for a verification link and click Verify My Email — the link expires in 1 hour

If you no longer have access to your old email address and can't log in, contact [email protected] with your name, old email, and new preferred email. The team will update your account manually.

How do I update the email address on my Prosci account?

You can update your email address directly in the Prosci Portal:

Log in to portal.prosci.com using your old email address
Go to My Account > Edit Profile, scroll down to Email, and click Change
Enter your new email address and current password, then click Submit
Check your new email inbox for a verification link and click Verify My Email — the link expires in 1 hour

What is Proxima, and am I eligible to access it after my certification?

Proxima is Prosci's cloud-based change management platform. It supports the application of the Prosci Methodology by guiding you through key change activities across a project — from ADKAR assessments and stakeholder analysis to change plans and progress tracking.

If you completed the Prosci Change Management Certification Program, you receive 90 days of Prosci Membership, which includes access to Proxima. After 90 days, continued access to Proxima is available through an Essentials or Premier Membership subscription.

How much does it cost to renew or extend my Proxima or portal access after the initial period expires?

Proxima is available as part of Prosci Essentials or Premier Membership.

Can multiple people at my organization share a Proxima account or collaborate on a project?

Proxima accounts are individual, but collaboration is built into the platform. Multiple team members can be added to a shared project, allowing your team to work together on change activities, plans, and assessments within the same initiative.

What does the Change for Good scholarship cover, and how do I check my application status?

The Change for Good scholarship supports individuals employed by nonprofit or social enterprise organizations who want to attend a Prosci training program but need financial assistance.

What it covers: Full and partial scholarships are available for select virtual programs, including the Change Management Certification Program. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and reviewed quarterly.

How do I get Prosci's vendor or supplier information to set up a purchase order?

How can someone verify that a candidate or employee holds a valid Prosci certification?

Prosci requires written consent from the certified individual before releasing any certification details.

To submit a verification request:

Ask the individual to provide written consent to release their certification information
Email the consent and your verification request to [email protected]

The team will confirm certification status once consent is received.
