Dear Prosci Community,
As the world protests the killings of Black community members and demands social justice, we have been listening to and learning from Black leaders, educators, colleagues, friends and family.
Change is being demanded. Prosci believes change is needed. We believe Black Lives Matter.
We don’t know the answers, but we do know change. We know change management can produce meaningful outcomes and a better future. This is what we know to be true of change:
Change happens one person at a time.
Change starts with understanding why.
Change requires a personal choice that is driven by personal motivators and larger societal motivators.
Change necessitates knowing how to change.
Change happens by building new capabilities and demonstrating the ability to present yourself in a new way.
Sustained change needs to be reinforced with mechanisms, measures and celebrations of success.
At Prosci, our cultural values are inclusive of all races, ages, genders, religions, sexual orientations, abilities, and ways individuals identify. In the coming weeks, we will continue to listen, learn and adapt. We will also be sharing resources and leveraging what we know about change to help encourage, foster and influence change around us. This is one small way we can contribute toward a better future.
All people should be treated with the same level of dignity and respect. No exceptions. We are here. We are listening. We are adapting.
